On Saturday, December 5, 2009, the Concordia University Golden Bears won their third consecutive NCAA DII Volleyball Championship, and 651media was there to capture every moment.
On Thursday, December 10, the team unveiled its third consecutive championship banner at the Gangelhoff Center and St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman was on hand to congratulate the team. Check out this video to see the pyrotechnics fly and the new banner revealed.

This weekend, 651media’s alma mater, Concordia University, St. Paul, won its third consecutive NCAA Division II Volleyball National Championship, defeating West Texas A&M University 25-18, 25-18, 25-16. We were there to capture all of the emotion, atmosphere…and incredible volleyball. Congratulations Golden Bears!
It might have been one of the more unique shoots we’ve been to in a while, but recently we were on location with Jenn Cermak and her models from Nani Nalu Beachwear Boutique as they did a fashion show live on the air with the Shop Girls from FM107.1. The unusual part was that it took place in a grocery store. Check out this video promoting Nani Nalu’s Busty Beachwear Bash at Kowalski’s Market in Eagan.

We just wrapped up one of our famous “sports experience” videos for Concordia Academy’s volleyball team, and here’s the opening we created for the DVD. We love capturing the action on the court (or field), but also the special memories that take place between games. We’ll post a few more samples soon, but in the meantime, you can check out some more “sports experience” samples.

Our friends at Farewell Milwaukee are getting some great press in anticipation of their new album “Autumn Rest Easy.”
This week, City Pages (alternative weekly newspaper of the Twin Cities) named FM as a “Band to Watch” and the glowing endorsement features one of the videos we produced for the boys while recording this spring. Enjoy!

As 651media continues to partner with Concordia University, we captured the exciting atmosphere at Sea Foam Stadium, during the inaugural football game held there on September 19, 2009.
We’ll be at Concordia’s Homecoming on Saturday, October 3 to work on a project called “What’s Your Concordia Memory?” and we’ll be sharing some of those videos soon.
Cool Jobs: Holidazzle Parade Marcher from 651media on Vimeo.
This month on “Cool Jobs,” I showed up to report on the Holidazzle Parade — an illuminated, sub-zero tradition here in the Twin Cities — and I ended up as part of the show…dressed as the Tin Man.
Have a heart and watch this episode.

In this episode of “Cool Jobs,” Chris tags along with Twin Cities-based Americana/Folk band Romantica during a show at Barbette in Uptown Minneapolis. Romantica’s newest music video for “The National Side” was recently produced by Ryan Newman of Rukus Film, and can be viewed here: http://vimeo.com/2225104.
You can listen to Romantica (Chris’ favorite local band) on iTunes, or on their website, www.romanticamusic.com.
Enjoy!
Sorry, it’s been a while. We’ve been pretty busy with video and life. Here is a “Cool Jobs” episode from September featuring Sue Nelson, the organist for the Minnesota Twins. The video is simple…we just let Sue carry the story.
